jackd2-firewire software package provides JACK Audio Connection Kit (FFADO and FreeBoB backends), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install jackd2-firewire
jackd2-firewire is installed in your system.
Make ensure the jackd2-firewire package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep jackd2-firewire *
You will get with jackd2-firewire package name, version, architecture and description in a table
